Path of Exile 2 has no gold. Every trade runs on crafting materials that double as money, which means the price of an item is quoted in the orbs used to modify gear.

The orbs that matter early

• Orb of Transmutation — upgrades a normal item to magic
• Chaos Orb — rerolls a modifier, the informal mid-tier standard
• Exalted Orb — adds a modifier to a rare item, the reserve currency of the endgame
